By making a prototype part or all of a product can be assembled and checked to ensure the functionality and requirements of the final product are met. At Marchwood we endeavour to make our prototypes a useful stepping stone for production. Whilst proving any initial circuitry and mechanical parts work and fit correctly it also provides an early check of drawings reducing the number of changes required to go into full production. Production engineering and maintainability issues can also be addressed at this stage.
